Anberlin’s breakup is still shaking its fanbase (including us), but the band continues to release little nuggets of entertainment for us to enjoy and sentimentalize over. And ultimately elicit our tears. They released a record of their last show (Never Take Friendship Personal + Cities, both live in New York City, which you can see a copy of the beautiful vinyl on our Instagram), Stephen Christian has announced he’ll be writing a book, and just today shared a documentary of the band on their last day together. The documentary, entitled Don’t Try To Wake Me Up, provides an intimate look at each band member in the twilight hours of the band’s career. Here’s the synopsis in the band’s own words:

Don’t Try To Wake Me Up is an exclusive look at the final day and final show of Anberlin, a band who had been together for 12 years, released 7 full-length albums, and played over 2,000 shows across 6 continents. Everyone has seen concert footage before; this film visits the band more intimately, as all 5 band members talk in a private and candid one-on-one environment about what that day was like in their most transparent and vulnerable interviews ever given. Link is in our profile. #DTTWMU
