Last year Arcade Fire continued their world domination with their James Murphy (LCD Soundystem) produced album Reflector. This year, the band is going to show us all just how that incredible, Caribbean-infused piece of sonic delight was created in their feature length film The Reflektor Tapes. Directed by Kahlil Joseph, the film tracks the band’s recording process and shows what happened behind the boards in the studio and on the road during the tour in support of the album.

In preparation for the September 23rd theatrical release of the film, the band has put out a preview of the film showing a snippet of recording the song “Afterlife.” Check it out above as well as the trailer for the film below.
