After Justin Vernon announced that Bon Iver were going on hiatus in 2012, the band’s music-making future was uncertain. Until last year when Vernon confirmed he was making new music, which he decided to play to a crowd at his music festival, Eaux Claires, in his home town, Eau Claire, Wisconsin this past Saturday. The new music he played? A whole damn album–22, A Million, which comes out September, 30 via Jagjaguwar.

In addition to playing and announcing a new album, Bon Iver also released extended cuts of two new songs, “22 (OVER S∞∞N) [Bob Moose Extended Cab Version]” and “10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⊠ ⊠ (Extended Version).” You can watch the lyric videos for both below. Preorders are also up for the new album in various packages on Bon Iver’s store site.

And if you can’t wait to hear the rest of the album, you can watch Bon Iver’s entire set from Eaux Claires as well. A fan recorded the whole thing on their phone, but the audio is surprisingly good.
