Photos and words by Nick Howland
During an abnormally hot weekend (we’ve never seen so many shorts in the PNW), Seattle managed to sneak some cool breezes and clouds into Bumbershoot’s Friday kickoff. The music, art, creativity, food, vibes, etc. festival in Seattle, Washington was hosted at the Seattle Center this year with stages occupying the Key Arena, the shiny new KEXP studio, and more. Crowds trickled in throughout the day to pack the festival by night’s end, when Flume, Flo Rida, and Die Antwoord brought day one to a close.
Take a look at the photo gallery above to feel like you were there if ya couldn’t make it. Also, get tickets for next year ’cause DAMN that was fun.
