Midwest smooth-talking indie magicians Hembree have finally announced their follow-up to last year’s EP New Oasis. The band took to the airwaves of Kansas City’s 96.5 The Buzz to premiere their new song “Can’t Run Forever,” which will appear on their new album of the same name. Take a listen to the new song below and keep an eye on the site for more information on the album as it’s announced.

Hembree has been pretty busy touring the last year, having played multiple festivals including LouFest in St. Louis, Missouri and Boulevardia in Kansas City. They also are about to jump on a few shows for the December run of the Communion Residency, which is put on by Communion (duh), an “artist-led organization which combines elements of live promotion, publishing and recording to create a hub for artists to develop and flourish in an increasingly competitive music industry environment.” Communion is created and run by Ben Lovett (Mumford & Sons), Kevin Jones (Bear’s Den), and producer Ian Grimble (Manic Street Preachers, Travis). Check out the band’s tour dates as part of the Communion Residency below.
