Internationally recognized sports footwear brand, Vans, is opening the House of Vans Chicago on February 3rd. The venue is christening this new project with performances by Future Islands, Digable Planets, and Chicago-based Noname.

The two day festival will carry music from innumerable groups, photography by a multitude of emerging photographers, and multi-media workshops with Chad Kouri and Atiba Jefferson. The brand new indoor skatepark will show off the best of its custom-built course, styled on models of the West Coast’s most famous venues. Featuring obstacles that accommodate every skill level, participants can wander into the redesigned Goose Island brewpub bar—originally located a short walk from Chicago’s famous Wrigley Field.

“It’s an honor to bring House of Vans to life here in Chicago so we can grow our Vans family and give back to the creative communities that make this city so vibrant.” says Vans’ Global Brand President, Doug Palladini.

This structure is the third created by Vans (New York and London as starting points) and will be purposed towards countless things such as a film premiere house, artist workshop, skate park, art gallery, and music venue.

The open house will begin at 6:30 pm and is 21+. Anyone interested in attending can RSVP here.
