After a rather impressive self-released debut album (2012’s The Heist), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are back and they are literally taking over the world with their moped gang. The Seattle duo’s first track in far too long was released this past Thursday.

The track, entitled “Downtown,” features the additional talent of Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Grandmaster Caz, and Eric Nally and chronicles the harrowing journey of Macklemore from Average Joe / platinum-selling artist on the street to fearless leader of a well-dressed, Pacific Northwest second-hand moped gang. It’s full of some pretty sweet synchronized dance moves, fur accessories, Ken Griffey Jr. in 19189 Mariner’s uniform catching a fish, and a motorcycle with a moose head. Yup. Thinking this imagery is purely something from your dreams or possibly an Adam McKay film? Think again. Or don’t and just watch the video for the track above. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t watch it. Just sayin’.

The track has been released all by it’s lonesome and hasn’t officially been attached to a new album just yet. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out if more Macklemore is headed our way though (on two wheels or more).
