*Pauses the 35th play-through of They’re Only Chasing Safety*

Everyone who has been waiting exceedingly patiently for the news that Underoath has been teasing can now wipe the drool from their mouths. The ticker on the bands website Underoath777.com has revealed what everyone was hoping to be true: Underoath has reformed to play (at least one show) live. With original drummer Aaron Gillespie. The Rebirth is real.

The band is confirmed for at least one show and will be reuniting to perform at Self Help Festival in San Bernardino, California on March 19th, 2016 alongside festival creators A Day To Remember. Other announced bands include August Burns Red, Further Seems Forever, Issues, Let Live, and Tonight Alive. Many more are to be announced soon. Check out the video above with the full band announcing their reunion.

This will be Underoath’s first show since their farewell tour back in 2013 but there is the possibility of the band touring further and making their way around the states and possibly even Europe. In an interview with Alternative Press, after being asked what the band will be playing at the show, Spencer Chamberlain (vocals) told the magazine

…it’ll probably be [Define The Great Line in full] and then, depending on how much time we have, some songs off of They’re Only Chasing Safety and some songs off Lost In The Sound [Of Separation]. We haven’t worked on the set for it yet, but I’ve talked about doing it like that with Tim, because 2016 will be 10 years [since] Define The Great Line. That way we wouldn’t go too far over on time. [Laughs.] I’d play every record front-to-back if I could!

The band even gave a little bit of hope that they might eventually record some new tracks together. Chamberlain also added that “the hiatus is off.”

There’s really not much else to say except, why the heck are you still reading this and not buying your tickets immediately?!
