Seasaw

Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs has always been a true musical inspiration and icon for me. In high school, my older brother taught me about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and I was instantly hooked. This was right about the time when Show Your Bones was released so I was getting to know a new album, but also learning about Fever to Tell – which to this day, is one of my favorite albums of all time.

In 2013, I got the chance to see Karen O (with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) in all of her blond hair, pant suit glory. It was amazing to see her in person. Karen O is totally in command on stage and it was a truly inspiring and empowered performance that I’ll never forget.

Meg Golz and Eve Wilczewski started as co-workers, slowly courted each other into best friendship, and then magically into music-making conspirators – all along, guiding the ship that is their indie-pop duo Seasaw. Without every piece of this musical history together, it would have been impossible for them to create their latest release, ‘Big Dogs’.
