"...apparently I sat with my ear to the speaker in his car all the way there- listening to the songs and not talking the whole trip."

Colin Dieden / The Mowgli's

Colin Deiden
Los Angeles, Ca.

4 kids from the San Fernando and a couple of midwesterners. The Mowgli’s are a quintessential California band. Inspired by the magnetism of San Francisco, the grind of Los Angeles and the serenity of the Big Sur Coast, their songs are a joyous revival of rock n’ roll, a twisting indie-folk dance and a heartfelt protest ballad.

The first time I remember having a very distinct connection with music was on a trip to Ojai with my dad. A family friend gave me The White Album on cassettes and to hear my dad tell the story, apparently I sat with my ear to the speaker in his car all the way there- listening to the songs and not talking the whole trip. By the time we had gotten home I had memorized every lyric on the record.
