Remember all those crazy Weezer singles that have come out recently? You know, the one about getting high (“Do You Wanna Get High?”), and the other one with the cannoli video (“Thank God For Girls”)? Well, they’ve released yet another single entitled “King of the World” and have connected all these disparate, fun little singles by officially announcing their follow up to 2014’s Everything Will Be Alright In The End. It’s been a bit since we had a self-titled Weezer album (since 2008’s Red Album) but that changes on April 1st when their self-titled White Album comes out.

The White Album will be the band’s 10th studio album and is said to be largely influenced by the Santa Monica band’s beach backyard. In a statement on the band’s website, the band said:

This album was inspired by my experiences hanging around the Westside of Los Angeles, which has been our home since Weezer began. Hanging out with people in Venice and Santa Monica, the beach, the Hare Krishnas, the Sikh on roller blades with the guitar, girls on Tinder within a 4 mile radius, seeing other bands, etc. I would just tweet out “does anybody wanna hang?” and then I’d get together with people who responded and talk about life. I love California. I wanted the album to have a Beach Boys sort of vibe to make you feel like you were there with us SoCal weirdos even if you’re in Milwaukee in December.

In addition to the new song, the band also released a video for the new song, which shows an outlandish beach-based police chase, and announced a co-headling tour with Panic! At The Disco and Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness. Check out the video for “King of the World” as well as the full list of tour dates below. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, Jan. 22 at 10AM local time. Be sure to preorder the new Weezer album on your preferred format as well.
